Simbarashe K. Marumisa
My name is Simbarashe Marumisa. I’m a sport leader working in Handball and Cricket in Dangamvura. I have managed to form a club in the suburb which is still on the rise. It is about six months since it’s formation but already remarkable signs of improvement are being seen. Besides handball I’m also busy with the formation of a cricket club in Mutare with another sport leader.
The strengths of Legal Lions Handball Club:
- The club has among other things a very strong junior policy
- Its senior teams (male/female) are mostly comprised of secondary school children with age ranging from 14-19 years of age.
- It is currently embarking on a very massive recruitment and training of kids of under 13 years, under 16 years and under 18 years.
- This is one of its major strengths as it is assured of a very vibrant, large player base. Since it’s currently involved with two secondary and four primary schools, the club is also into identification and nurturing of talent.
- We have managed to develop interest of the sport of handball amongst the youths and kids in the community which has seen the sport being played even in the dusty roads of the suburb.
