THE MARTIAL ARTS AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF SIFU MASTER ALLEN MAKUFENI

The little dragon SIFU MASTER ALLEN MAKUFENI was born on the 22nd of October 1982 in Mutare. He started training KUNG-FU at the age of 13 at the Mutare Kung-fu club in 1995 under the guidance of SIFU LEONARD CHIMOMWA. He entered a national tournament at Rusape Makoni Hall in 1997 where he met 10 different clubs. One club from Marondera, five from Rusape, two from Mutare and two from Harare. He entered another tournament in 1998 at Chitungwiza (open air) and other regional tournaments.
He trained for 2 years at Zimbabwe kung-fu club under the guidance of monk master Kaitano Bvumbanyama doing his advanced training covering the basic psychological principles of martial arts and the philosophical art of self defense against armed and unarmed assailants in 1999 and 2000. Later he formed AFRICAN-DO KUNG-FU ACADEMY in 2001 and demonstrated at Sakubva stadium on national heroes’ day in August 2003 and 2004 and Mutare show grounds in September 2003, 2004 and 2005. The academy demonstrated at international museums day 18 may 2004 and 2005 in Mutare at national monuments. The day which marks the cultural week internationally and was awarded a certificate of demonstration in January 2006 .he was recruited at Mutare Haarlem sport leaders and is specializing in martial arts Jeet-kune –Do kung-fu. He formed the Mutare Haarlem Martial Arts Association in January 2006 which is affiliated to the main board of martial arts and clubs are Mutare at the following suburbs points: Sakubva Beithall, Dangamvura Beithall, Chikanga Sports Complex and city centre. He is doing further education in sport at Mutare Haarlem sport leaders course. We hold our tournaments 3 times a year i.e. April, August and December. In 2005 he was elected as the technical advisor for Manicaland Martial Arts Association (main body)
